Megan Carroll, Board Chair. Megan has a private business consulting and law practice. She has a Bachelors Degree in Natural History and has been active in various environmental and spiritual groups throughout her adult life. She has been a student of various forms of meditation, energy healing techniques, shamanism and numerous spiritual and religious traditions and ways of life. She most recently completed the Feminine Power Mastery Program. In addition to her law practice, Megan provides personal coaching and counseling services.
Paul Rubio, Director. Paul is a clay mason, specializing in wheel-throwing and crafting pieces that awaken our hearts to our primitive ancestry and relationship with animals. He is a descendant of the Yaqui people and was adopted into the Lakota tribe. Maria "Owl" Gutierrez, Director. Maria has been in service to her community as a spiritual teacher, counselor and healer for 15 years. Her work is deeply rooted in indigenous wisdoms and ecopsychology. She has a M.A. in counseling psychology and is a trained herbalist and practitioner of hypnotherapy and energy medicine. Maria has served on the faculty at New College of California in the concentration of Consciousness, Healing & Ecology, is the founder of Ancient Path Vision Quests and has a private practice in Sonoma County. Lydia Ridgway, Director, Treasurer. Lydia is a CPA and has practiced corporate tax in the high-tech companies situated in Silicon Valley for the past 25 years. She is a Chinese descendent and has been practicing Vipassana meditation in Buddhism tradition for the past 20 years. Growing up in Taiwan with strong ancestor worship ceremony practice, Lydia firmly believes in the value of the earth- and ancestor-honoring rituals will heal and strengthen our human connectivity with this world and beyond.
Angela "Gaelan" Clifford, Director. Gaelan has been facilitating and participating in diverse earth-honoring ceremonies in Washington state for the past 15 years. She has been an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church since 1995. She is has been involved in the Earth Medicine Alliance from its conception and is firmly committed to see it become a successful organization.
Daniel Foor, Executive Director, Founder. Daniel is a practitioner of earth-honoring spirituality in the SF Bay Area. He leads trainings and rituals to engage the ancestors and the natural/elemental worlds with the intent of embodying our personal destiny and gifts here in service to the Earth and life. Daniel's ancestors are English, Irish, and German immigrants to North America, and by encouraging sustained work with family ancestors, he emphasizes that we are all from lineages that understood, or perhaps still understand, how to live well with the Earth. Jeff McElwain, Director. Jeff works as a physician assistant in a community health center in southwestern Colorado and sees on a daily basis the effect of spiritual health on physical health. He has a life-long interest in the natural world and offers earth-honoring ceremonies in and around Durango, Colorado. Jeff is honored to serve on the Alliance board and feels that he has come home in finding the kindred souls involved in this organization.
